Martial Art Classes for Adults and Teens

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step  -Lao-Tzu

Learning doesn't stop when you get out of school!  At Revolution Training and Martial Arts
we have many students that have trained from Tiger, 3 or 4 years old, to College and Beyond!

Top 5 Reasons you don't have to worry about beginning Martial Art training as an adult or teen!

1. You don't have to worry about "being fit" first!
This is probably the main reason we hear people say they don't want to try... "I need to get in shape first."  Nothing could be further from the truth! We start you out with basic exercises you probably already know (don't fret those either, see the #2 reason you don't have to worry) and increase your knowledge from there.  We've had many students lose weight most an average of 5-12 lbs but one lady lost 55 lbs. and one man as much as 60 lbs!
2. You don't have to worry about your "trick" knee (or shoulder, etc.) from playing football, basketball, tennis, volleyball, soccer, biking, mountain climbing, jitterbugging... That's the great thing about Martial Arts. They meet you where you're at, and work with what you have. We say tell us what you "CAN'T" do, and we'll show you what you CAN do! We have martial artists that have the whole gamut of injuries or special abilities. Martial arts are more than kicking and punching.

You don't have to worry about "not knowing" something.  Yes, you might feel a bit self-conscious at first, but hey, once we pass a certain age we all get self-conscious about something (public speaking, new jobs, starting a new school, our clothes, line-dancing...). Just remember, we're not the Cobra-Kai dojo of the Karate Kid movies. We're not here to embarrass you, we're here to help you succeed!

4. You don't have to worry about what to wear!
Unlike going to the gym, you don't have to wonder where you left your yoga pants or your Rocky sweats (you know those old school gray ones with drawstrings and elastic ankles?). You'll be part of group and wearing the same uniform.

5. You don't have to worry about who you work out with
because we also realize that teenagers and adults train for different reasons than children, so we know that while you may be here to get fit, try something different, and relieve some stress, your teenager may want to be there to learn self-defense, a cool MMA move or participate in a sport where they're assessed individually and not as a team. Whatever you're reason, we keep in mind YOUR reason for attending class to help you reach your goals.
